  • Low Impulsivity and Sensation Seeking

Your test results indicate that you have a low degree of impulsivity and sensation seeking. It is important to be aware that this test reveals just one aspect of your personality and taken in isolation it is impossible to draw a verifiable conclusion about your likelihood of addiction from these results. The test offers you a combined score for impulsivity and for sensation seeking, with a lower score indicating that you are more likely to plan ahead and seek forward guidance, rather than live in the moment and change your mind constantly.

Impulsivity relates to the desire to carry out actions without forethought and prior consideration, whereas sensation seeking relates to how much you are willing to take risks and put yourself out of your comfort zone for the sake of excitement and novel experience. Having a low score does not carry with it any clear positive or negative connotations but can help to establish your risk of addiction when combined with complementary tests. If you have any concerns about your results or your risk of addiction, it’s best to seek help from a medical professional.
